Extremely Rare Hard paste Porcelain Woman Figurine - Spring Allegory. Hand painted in enamels, made in Germany by Limbach Porcelain Factory, Signed by Gotthelf Greiner circa 1772-1787. Stunning Antique circa 18th century museum example of large hard-paste German porcelain figure of a young pretty woman emblematic of Springtime. With very nice form, detail and gilded accent. She stands looking to the right while having her right hand up; her left-hand holds a bouquet of colorful flowers. She wears a powdered wig, dressed high with side curls and flowers, blue open-fronted jacket, corset and white ruffled dress hand painted with blue flowers, her shoes are dark red. She stands on the brown base molded with floral decoration. Extremely rare, not found anywhere else! MARKED: With Limbach porcelain factory blue crossed mark circa 1772-1787 and with impressed letters JG for Johann Gotthelf Greiner, #379 MEASUREMENTS: 14.25" tall × 7" wide at the base. * List Price: $5,000.00 CONDITION: In good used antique condition. Age related wear marks are visible throughout. Minor gold gilding lose, uneven manufacturing glaze imperfections. Small age related crack under lady's one armpit & along waistline at rear of the figure. Very small hairline on the back of the neck. Tiny crack on right banded hand clothing part. Few cracks on ruffled sleeve on rear of the outfit, and few tiny cracks at base on the front of the dress. Some chipping of flowers & leaves as noted in photos. Glue residue from the padding on the rim of the base. * Non of these imperfections detract from the beauty of this lovely piece! - Please be advised that all photographs are part of the description, so please carefully review all of them.
